Franck Kessié

AjaxDeSuperYids

Drama queen
We are being linked with signing Franck Kessié who is a 22 year old ivorian team mate of Serge, he is currently on loan to AC Milan from Atalanta with a mandatory purchase at the end of the loan.

Rumours would have it (cant be bothered to post the link) that milan are having ffp issues and we may step in with £35m as our dembele replacement.

Dembele to china has gone quiet so has Daniel done the unthinkable and said he can only go if we find a suitable replacement?

Thoughts?

I don't think we'd let him leave without a replacement even if that was a loan from somewhere till the summer. Only change to that would be if Poch said he was happy to let him go without having a replacement but given our midfield and Wanyana looking finished I'd find it unlikely.

Never heard of this player, hopefully he's good.

Tottenham have been given a boost in their hopes to end their transfer stagnation after reports in Italy claimed AC Milan could be forced to abandon plans to sign Franck Kessie.

The north London outfit failed to sign any players over the summer and it looked as though it could be a similar story this month with manager Mauricio Pochettino recently admitting that any new arrivals look unlikely.

However, with Spurs looking for a replacement for China-bound Mousa Dembele, Tottenham have been boosted by reports that Financial Fair Play regulations could force Milan to abandon their planned purchase of Kessie, who has been mentioned as a possible replacement in their midfield.

Kessie joined Milan from Atalanta in summer 2017 on a two-year loan with an obligation to buy and while Milan want to make the move permanent, they could be forced to pull the plug on the arrangement.

And according to il Corriere dello Sport, an offer of €40million (£35.6m) would persuade Atalanta to sell the midfielder, who is also emerging as a target for Chelsea, to a Premier League suitor instead.

The Italian newspaper believes Spurs have already set the wheels in motion to sign Kessie as a replacement for Dembele.

For those saying he's meh what are you basing that on?

Hahahahahahahahahaha

How many games have you seen him play to come up with this judgement and how would you rate him in each of those games?

Sounds like he's crap then. Doucoure perhaps?

Docoure would be a very very good signing and one that suits Poch too IMO

Kessie before Milan looked a player... I’ve not seen him at all now though

Enough to make that. He played better at his previous club. I suspect there is something in the waters at AC.

His technique seems awkward and reminds me a little bit of Sissoko, he seems to look very comfortable in Serie A but in my opinion will struggle with the pace of the prem.

Just to add this is my opinion i don't want to upset any of the Kessie fan boys.

Is he creative?

Not really from what I've seen. More a box to box CM. Would be a decent partner for Skipp IMO, but we still need some creativity somewhere, either alongside Kane and Son, or if we go 3-5-2 then alongside Skipp and Kessie

Nice goal return though. 1 in 4 for milan. If it's true that we've offered £160k a week that isn't bad for a free agent. Maybe even offer milan a few mil and tanguy on loan to get him in early?
