Your starting 11 and formation with fully fit squad?

Every day for me.
I don't think its every day, whether you prefer Rose or Davies. They quite clearly have different skillsets and there are times when we need Rose's penetration and attacking threat more, and other occasions where Davies' more less spectacular but consistently solid perfromances are required. Personally prefer Rose overall as I think hes a good defender aswell as giving us really good width and energy, but recognise Davies' consistent contributions so happy we have both to rotate....

I understand you points but for me Davies is the better player, and if i was to pick my strongest team then Davies would be in it no matter who we were playing. Rose had a great 12- 18 months but when you consider he has been here over 10 years he has been pretty average for most of it.

Of course that is only my opinion and i am sure there will be some who disagree.

.............................Lloris..........................
Trippier........Toby...................Vert.........Rose
.................Wanyama..........Dembele.............
....Moura...............Eriksen...............Alli........
.........................Kane...............................

(Subs: Gazzanigga, Sanchez, Dier, Davies, Winks, Son, Lamela, Llorente)

Harsh on Lamela (who I've been a fan of since before his injury, let alone the last year when he's been superb. He's an amazing impact sub though.

Seven goals in his last nine matches, his current form is better than Kane's. And as for him being an amazing sub what gash :)
The longer he on the pitch the great the chance of him either scoring or assisting a goal.

For me you have to pick these 7
Then pick any full backs

So really just one spot up for grabs from Sanchez Dembele Son Lamela Moura

------------Lloris
X-----Toby-------Jan-----X
-------Dier---Winks-----
X----------Dele-----Eriksen
-----------Kane

-----------------Lloris----------------

Trippier----Toby----Jan-----Rose

-------------Winks---Dier-----------

Eriksen--------Dele------------Son

-------------------Kane----------------

That is incredibly harsh on Davies (but in the spirit of the thread I wanted to make a choice, and a genuinely fully fit Rose may just edge it, although I may be under-rating Davies because he hasn't hit top form this season yet - I love him though.)

Also very harsh on Lamela and Moura, but it just shows the depth we have in the squad that those two are playing themselves in to genuine first 11 contention.

Yeah you're right, lets drop Kane and put Lamela in my place.

In all honesty, do you think Lamela usually plays well when he starts, compared to when he comes on for 20 minutes?

I don't think he's had enough of a run either way to make that case to be honest, certainly not enough to say that to go the opposite of one way is facepalm worthy.

Lamela was awesome against West Ham and he's been great in some of the CL games he has started this and last season. He's also been effective coming off the bench, but I think we are seeing the best out of him because he's finally had a pre-season and over his injuries. I'd trust him to start in a cup final or crunch league game for sure.

He's been fit and playing for about a year now with minimal disruption. Poch held him back (used primarily as a sub for 15 mins) for a long time. Only because of Eriksen being out does he seem to start him. Don't get me wrong he's decent whenever he's on the pitch but he seems more effective when he makes a substitute appearance. It's a big ask to drop Eriksen or Alli and from what I've seen this season Moura isn't much better or worse than Lamela.

Lloris
Tripper_Alderweireld_Vertonghen_Rose
Eriksen - Winks - Dele
Lamela Kane Lucas

That's what I want to see. Three midfielders that all work hard and can receive the ball and create chances going forward.

-----------------Lloris----------------

Trippier----Toby----Jan——----Rose

-------Wanyama--——-Winks--------

Lamela—--------Dele-----------Eriksen

-------------------Kane----------------

------------------Gazzaniga------------
---------Alderweireld---Vertonghen
---Trippier-------Sanchez---------Rose
-----------------Dier---------------------
------Lamela---------------Eriksen-----
-----------------Dele-------------
---------------Kane----------

We seem to take less risks in the first half, then step it up in the second.
I'd like to see us start difficult games with:
Lloris
Sanchez.....Vertonghen
RB..................Dier................LB
1 from Sissoko/Wanyama.....Winks
2 from Lamela/Eriksen/Dele
Kane
Then bring on Son, Moura etc. during the second half.

For less difficult games, start with:
Lloris
Sanchez.....Vertonghen
RB.......................................LB
3 from Sissoko/Dier/Wanyama/Winks
2 from Son/Lamela/Eriksen/Dele/Moura
1 from Lamela/Son
Then bring on Kane etc. during the second half. This allows for resting Kane, Dele and Eriksen, which we don't seem to do enough when they are fit, and manage Lamela's fitness.
