Fixture & Ticket News 2018/19

Plus congratulations to everyone who correctly predicted the stadium would not be ready for the 1st home match, which tbh was quite obvious from Feb/march time

I think it could have been, but better safe than sorry.

Tbh I still think Sept 15th is touch-and-ho. Despite the excellent progress made in the last month, there still looks to be a lot of work to be done on the exterior of the stadium itself

no on the 15th we will play at the new WHL. I'm convinced now because of how many test events are planned before that day.

Well it looks like Emirates Marketing Project will have a flying start. First 7 games are easy, I'm including the Arse game. So 21 points guaranteed before they play Liverpool match 8. We have to make sure we pick up as many points as possible from our tricky start to keep pace with them

I don’t think anyone expected anything other than the first home game being after the internationals as is planned

Where the club have thrown a “positive” curve ball in, is the move to have a home game at Wembley prior to the internationals

That is very different to what people were saying even last night as when people were “speculating” they were still talking about Wembley having our first Home game after the internationals (unless ive read it all wrong)

Only 4 of our first 14 games will be at home at the new WHL:eek:

And Liverpool, Emirates Marketing Project and Chelski are 3 of those 4 games

It will be tough start to the campaign. But then its all known, and if we start well we can do well. Everyone plays the same teams twice etc. It took a while to get used to Wembley. Same might apply to NWHL.

It will be ready by 5 August according to the announcement. It's only the safety certificate that has caused the delay.

Yes they did say none of the 'big teams' play each other on the opening day. Nice to see it is still the case...

Disappointed that I'll be on holiday for the opening game, but given as it was pretty certain the first home game would be after the international break, it was always inevitable that I would miss it.
My nephew should still be able to make it if I can find someone to take him - I suspect his dad/my Liverpool supporting brother will be happy to take my ST for the day in this instance.

Great work by the club to have got us to this stage. Can't wait for some of the test events to see everything close up.

That's just your pessimism poking through.
Lighten up sunshine, it will be fine!
