Hugo Lloris

He is causing panic in the defence in the same way that Gomes did. He rushes out, sticks to his line and the defence don't know whether they are coming or going. Add to this his incompetent distribution. Really his kicking skills are and always have been well below par.

I don’t want to watch it again as it was so bad.

But for the City how he seemed to stay on his line

Think that’s the first time I’ve seen him do that

The referee didn’t help. Absolute shocker. Turned down every appeal. Seemed to want City to win. Every time Sterling hit the floor, the referee rushed to give free kick to City. And he awarded a free kick as a penalty. That’s not to mention all the dodgy offside calls

If he had been up to snuff we would have lost Davies and possibly Hugo.
Blaming the ref is the last excuse of the fans that lost.

I have to 'sadly' agree. Hugo can't be replaced can he?
Who and at what cost?

Love the blokes professional attitude and he's been a great servant to Spurs.
I think it may be a bit previous to get rid.........plus £££

As the last man the keeper can always be made to look bad, but what did he do wrong yesterday?

Watching from high up last night he was extremely indecisive - on two occasions that I noticed he started to come when balls were played through and then went back to his line, causing the defence to alter what they were going to do. His confidence looks shaky and that will affect the whole team.

Not something i have noticed from him before (making that mistake) - i do worry about his mentality sometimes, does seem a different player in big games

Hugo is a brilliant sweeper keeper and suits our game (same as city have with ederson although he is the best in the league)

But lately he hasn’t made some odd decisions and just not got his basics right

It happens with keeeprs but they seem to take longer to snap out of it

It’s not the run of shockers he put together under AVB, but there is a problem, he looks nervy, his distribution turns us around and invites pressure, sometimes he flies out, sometimes he holds, which doesn’t help the cb’s, he’s making saves but putting the ball back into danger areas. He’s not the calm and commanding presence we need right now and I think it’s affecting the whole team.

Would agree with this, i have said on a couple of occasions that i have never gone for the " Lloris is world class", he is a very good keeper but at the moment he is becoming a poor one and its worrying.

The 4 players I worry about the most in big games in no particular order are Trippier, Dier, Lloris and Davies. As others have said, he has a nervous aura about him in the big games that doesn't inpsire you with confidence.

He's been reading the experts on here, so he thought better not risk coming out.

I'm not sure awarding the Lloris foul on Sterling as a penalty instead of a free kick harmed us that much, as if he had instead awarded it as a free kick just outside the box then he may also have had to send Lloris off.

Hopefully it’s just a poor run of form (by his standards) rather than a Gomes like terminal decline, as he’s still only 31 so should still have the legs to be a top notch sweeper-keeper...

Although the contrast with Ederson, when he sprinted up to almost the halfway line to stop one of our attacks, appeared quite stark from the stands; I’ll try and watch the coverage at some point to see if I’m judging him harshly...
The difference is the starting position of the teams.... It seemed to me as though Ederson already had a very advanced starting position because that break came from us being very deep in our own half whereas Emirates Marketing Project were launching their attacks from further up the pitch, thus Lloris couldn't take a starting position already outside of his area.

Might the problem be Toni Jimenez? A change of goalkeeping coach could be easier than a change of keeper.

Poch's loyalty to his team is admirable in many ways, but it's difficult to believe that the same personnel have been right for all his clubs and will continue to be so for ever.

I dont particularly recall Davies being a let down in big games? Other than that I agree....
