The Match of the Day Thread

I heard them talking about how Henderson was he best defensive midfielder we have in England, I switched off after that this morning

I believe they said him and Ox was the best midfield pairing in England, and they should be nailed on to fill those places in the England team o_O

Get the fudge out! You serious!?

I wouldnt even have Henderson in the squad, its unbelievable he is at Liverpool let alone their captain!!

Ian Wright gives the impression of liking football first, over rivalries and promoting himself.

I believe I recently heard Shearer say that football is a contact sport and to criticise a player going down easily.

And a description of Henderson I quite liked:

... I would choose Saudi Sportswashing Machine’s Jonjo Shelvey to start against the Tunisians and the Panamanians. I have not seen a better England midfielder all season, partly for his grit and determination to stamp — sometimes literally, sure — his authority on a game. But he can pass the ball better than either Jordan Henderson — whom I fear we are stuck with until hell freezes over, sliding the ball three yards sideways into touch with a look of intense concentration on his face — or Eric Dier, who has not shone very brightly either for England or Spurs of late.

I think I prefer three yard Henderson to brick Gerrard Henderson who fires Hollywood balls into touch.

Shearer was quite good at stamping his authority on the game too...

Thought they were biased in their appreciation of the Wheelchair incident.

The Soton guy was pulled and almost tripped from inside his own half. His shirt was badly torn, and then he was getting ragged by 'the most over-rated player in the Universe'. His response was to pusgh Wheelchair's shoulder from behind using an openhand.

This was described by MotD as a forearm smash to the face.

By contrast, the other scumbag was 'hard done by' with a red - for really pushing someone's jaw.

JJ should have spoken up. As for Jason Mohamed's 'Jack this, Jack that' - is he a gooner ?

i'd like to know how much shearer payed for his masters tickets, they're already sold out 10 years in advance, good to see your licence fee payments are subsidising shearer's vacations.

Currently blowing smoke up Sterlings arse for being fit at the start of the season.

More revolutionary ideas from Pep.

Charlie Austine had every right to be bloody fuming.
Just another example of how woeful refereeing in the EPL has become and its getting worse!
