Season Ticket Renewal Talk

I hope they don't see the stadium as 'the product' - i expect higher prices for a better stadium of course but the team is what we are all there to see at the end of the day and if theyre charging us the highest prices in the world to watch our team then it needs to be matched from their end too.

I hope they don't either BUT at least have a little respect for the shear size of this investment for a company that has a turnover of £200m. Dealing with that debt is (without sounding like Arsenal) paramount in the long term. Plain and simple it could kill us.

Remember, we're the new kid at the top table, barely established as CL participants. We could be 'losing Poch' away from being back as a top 6 also ran.

So Levy is making hay while the Son (!) shines. I'm sure wage levels will increase but the budget for transfers may well stay the same for a while, with the exception that if an A1 target becomes available, Levy would sanction it. It's not that bad, we're still happy to pay the £30-40M for regualr players.

As long as we then don't follow Arsenal and become basically a cash cow for the owner.

FWIW i do think the prices look 20% to high BUT if they were lower that would be 20% less to do any of the above.

Question re: Juniors. Can the club guarantee that when the sale period reaches phases 7 and 8 that there will be junior seats left? The junior sections are in the lower price bands so adults in higher phases might decide to take all of those. Couple that with the fact there are chunk of adults in higher phases that will be trap dooring down to phase 7 and 8 to join their Wembley off spring and the latter stages could get very messy.

Apparently they can’t guarantee that

I know someone who asked the same question

The new stadium was always going to be at Goon pricing levels. Did anyone think otherwise? The investment back into the squad will be affected by repayments on the loans. But Levy knows more than anyone that the teams success underpins the whole project and club vision - the team on the field's success underpins Levy's day to day work. It is paramount to him and everyone at the club.

We have the benefit of seeing how the Goons managed the development debt and new revenue streams. They should have re-invested earlier, possibly even borrowed more to smooth out the revenue dip caused by the debt. Now the Goons are flush for cash, but the squad has suffered. The other dynamic is that the whole clubs focus probably shifted from purely football, to property development. So doing did they take their eye off the ball and squad?

These aren’t goon prices.. their include cup games

Ours are about 12/15 percent higher and maybe more

It is steep no doubt but the truth is ... us mugs will pay anything.

If it gets too expensive either get a better job, make sacrifices, or stay married (divorce is not an option).

I've had to down grade my car to be able to get to the stadium. My choice.

I agree they are probably 10% higher than they should be (apx £100), and there should be more affordable options for young supporters and those who could prove low income? But if people are going to pay these prices then ultimately, it is priced correctly, and Spurs would argue that new WHL is more than 15% better than the Emirates. Would you prefer £100 off and a zhit stadium like that, or pay a little more and have a far better setup?

There is potential for the club to react by announcing something more to help with kids tickets, and if they can those on lower incomes. Could be an award or fund, named after a player, paid into by player fines and the club, to help long standing fans who fall on hard times. The club could do something inventive here to show there is still a soul to Spurs in the face of a more corporate setup. It wouldn't cost the club a lot, and would give everyone a lift.

Theirs isn’t a brick stadium
Wembley isn’t a shot stadium
There are plenty of top quality stadiums that do not charge anywhere near to this much

I think a 10/15% increase on the prices at the old ground would have been tolerable but high

Ultimately the build cost is what it is and that’s down to choices made to build it

Feels like we’re paying for the NFL mods yet as fans won’t see the benefit

If NFL games aren’t charged out at £100 a seat I’ll be disgusted

Well he will get a seat but it could be at any price

Surely they would just have to add junior seating options in the current non-junior sections?

Would they seriously disregard the future of the club by neglecting junior members?

Why not

They have disregarded many normal fans with the pricing

They have said dill Wembley even though it’s brick... and then when the new ground comes we will double your ticket price

Now cars really are a waste of money.
