Competition for first player off the bench? Our first choice 3 behind Kane at the moment are Dele, Eriksen and Son...and actually in the event that we had our entire first 11 available, you might have to pick 6 for the bench from say: Trippier, Davies, Sanchez, (Foyth), Dier, Winks, Sissoko, Lamela, Moura and Llorente

And there are still some who think our squad is not a strong one.

Good for Spurs but not when compared to our top six competitors imho
It's the bench options where currently don't compare especially with the top two.

Well it helps when you are money doped like City, Chelski and mega rich like Utd. Apart from that i believe we have a better squad then the rest.

I would probably agree.
I also think there are still some clever buys left our there like Moura! Touch wood, crossing fingers and throwing salt over my shoulder.
My Mrs is thinking I'm mmmmad

There are, but for a club in our (relatively unique) position they are ever more scarce and harder to pull off.

That really depends upon requirement at the time.

If we wanted to add to our attack I would still suggest Moura and Sissoko are not in competition at all :D

That is a much better looking bench though, goes to show how injuries have robbed us this year

Before the season, Moura and Sissoko would've been in competition, but that was before Sissoko once and for all flopped as AM. If Moura comes, I hope to see Sissoko sold to West Ham. They need his services.

I rate this signing highly and he is probably as good as we can get. The whole Walcott comparison is bizarre to me.

Whats everone’s opinion of this transfer in terms of prestige?

Well he's one of the best wingers in the world along with the likes of Draxler, Sane, Di Maria, Pedro, Coman, Lemar etc

It's that weird mix of pundits and opposition fans bricking on anything Spurs, and Spurs fans downplaying stuff to avoid another Soldado, Magnificent 7, whatever ...

Fact is
- This guys scored 18 fudging goals last season, 13 the season before as a winger/AM
- He's won 15+ trophies at PSG, competed regularly in CL
- He's got pace, trickery and ticks the boxes of exactly what we need
- He's played with Aurier before (same side of pitch)
- He's a full Brazilian International, who has been highly rated since he was 17/18.
- Is still only 25
- It is a WC year and he's going to be absolutely motivated to perform

Add in the price in today's context is almost unbelievable, if/when this goes through, it will be a great bit of business by the club.

We will see. I don't want to put the mockers on the lad.
"Prestige" another woody word!
Sadly it's now all about the money

Something that I noticed from the YouTube videos (I know, I know) is that as well as explosive pace and the ability to beat players, Moura also looks to be very brave. He backs himself to get to the ball before the defender and seems to just nick it round them with them having committed themselves. He either comes away with the ball in space or gets a free kick with the opponent likely to be booked.

He also seems to have a good right foot that he massively favours, but looks capable on his left side as well.

Everything I've seen of him suggests that although he's a winger he loves to attack through the center as well, which will be perfect for the Poch system. He should be the player that Sissoko was slated to be in an attacking sense, just far far better at performing that role.

Really looking forward to this. If we get him in and then Malcolm over the summer, we've got great options for width, and through the middle, and pretty much all over the park. Another title push in new WHL wouldn't be out of the question.

Yeah but a West Ham fan told me today he is brick!!!

He is typical to me of a player you know of but don’t actually know anything about

When you scratch beneath the surface you realise that he has a great record as had been a big success
